Okay, kids, I'm taking a break the rest of the week. Lest you find yourself at work with nothing to do, here are some links to keep you occupied.
For theological reflection:
>Richard Mouw, president of Fuller Seminary and guru to us Reformed, small-e evangelicals, has a blog. Check it out here.
>I led chapel at the seminary on October 31. The meditation was tweaked for Perspectives Journal and can be read here.
>My speech on the 150th anniversary of the CRC can be heard here. [Note: My colleague Tim Blackmon speaks first. It may take a while to download the file.]
For humor:
>The Daily Show recently built a site that has all of their shows on it. Really. All of them. And with the writers' strike this may be the only way to see the show for a while. Sigh. Search for your favorite authors, politicos or actors (e.g. "John McCain" or "Lily Tomlin"). Also, if you're looking for something to rent, try "The Daily Show's Indecision 2004" which you can get from Netflix or other online movie rental places. Their coverage of the Boston DNC Convention alone is worth the watch.
>Steve Carell (from The Office and Little Miss Sunshine and Dan in Real Life and Evan Almighty and many other things...) used to debate Stephen Colbert (from, obviously, The Colbert Report) when they were both correspondents on The Daily Show. They called the bit "Even Stephven." The link is to their discussion of Halloween.
>And, if you haven't seen people dancing on treadmills, well, then you just haven't lived.
